The Pain Of Breaking Up

The pain of breaking up is a lot more devastating when one person is on the receiving end. That is, someone has been dumped out of a relationship and are trying to come to terms with why their ex has made the decision they have.

Two of the biggest emotions they face are panic and desperation. Panic in the sense they are not sure what to do and how to handle it and desperation in reacting in fashion which just aggravates the situation. In fact, desperation could mean reacting aggressively thus pushing one’s ex further away or in a totally needy fashion. T W Jackson says panic and desperation are two of the emotions which will completely jeopardize a person’s chance of getting their ex back. He makes some interesting observations in The Magic Of Making Up and says the process from the time a person is dumped to getting their ex back, is usually one of taking stock initially, and then applying some proven techniques which will improve their chance of a successful reconciliation.
